
The Professor of Military Science (PMS) is the program’s senior officer and is responsible for the supervision welfare of assigned cadre and enrolled and contracted Cadets. The PMS synchronizes and integrates the program’s military science curriculum, recruiting and retention activities, scholarship and incentive processes and sustainment capabilities to meet the program’s assigned mission within the Brigade Commander’s intent.

The Senior Military Science Instructor (SMSI) is the program’s senior enlisted Soldier and advisor to the PMS. Additionally, the SMSI is assigned a cadre role for Cadet Summer Training, and also supports the program’s staff lead for on-campus recruiting, retention, Cadet administrative and logistical tasks. The SMSI is responsible for the Color Guard and all ceremonies.

The Executive Officer (XO), also an Assistant Professor of Military Science (APMS), is the chief of staff for the PMS. The XO handles all major ceremonies, provides oversight on Military Science courses, and supports the program’s staff lead for on-campus recruiting, retention, and Cadet administrative and logistical tasks. The task force’s battle rhythm and staff tasks are all the XO’s responsibility. The XO will also teach classes and attend summer training as a cadre member.

If you have applied to or have been accepted by Drexel University, the University of Pennsylvania, LaSalle University, Saint Joseph's University, the University of the Sciences, or Jefferson University, Task Force Dragon is the ROTC unit you will join. There are multiple scholarships for you to apply for that will aid you in your journey to becoming an Officer in the U.S. Army (Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve Component).
